Oakley, a first grader has read 301 book so far this year. He is shown moving his "hot dog" to group seven which is for 300+ books or points. He stated his goal is to beat the old record. That record is held by Zac who read 415 books while in first grade. Good Luck Oakley!

Addison Elementary School welcomes our student teachers from Athens University, Mrs. Bethany Powell and Mrs. Marta Dollar. They will be with us for the next 15 weeks. Mrs. Dollar is currently working with Mrs. Sherry W. Smothers 2nd grade classroom. Mrs. Powell is currently working with Mrs. Lisa Whitakers 2nd grade. Both ladies will serve 7 1/2 weeks in 2nd before moving to 6th grade for 7 1/2 weeks. They will be working with Mrs. Marcie Hill and Mrs. Amy Gilliland at that time. The faculty and staff are excited to have both students at our school. We hope their stay will be an exciting and educational experience!
