Children’s Author Visits Addison Elementary School
Eddie Bowman, a.k.a. “Chester Drawers” recently entertained students at Addison Elementary School. The students enjoyed such sing-a-longs as “Gravy on a Bucket Lid”, “Silly Dog”, and “Gilbert the Goose”. “Chester Drawers” stressed the importance of reading and the dangers of drugs & alcohol—all while making the students laugh. The author/entertainer played a country bumpkin on the Brumley Music Show in Branson, Missouri for eight years. He now visits schools sharing his homespun humor. Eddie Bowman is the author of twenty children’s books.
In honor of Mr. Bowman’s visit many of our students & staff participated in a “Chester Drawers” dress-up day. After the assembly students were given the opportunity to meet “Chester Drawers” and purchase autographed copies of his books. (See Photos below)
