2007-2008 Grandparents Day!
First grade celebrated Grandparents Day by
eating breakfast, presenting cards, and performing a musical
selection in their classrooms for their grandparents. Each classroom
displayed a bulletin board with pictures and interviews from each
child's grandparents. Students enjoyed giving their grandparents the
"grand tour" and the grandparents enjoyed a trip down "memory lane".
Many grandparents also attended school at Addison but remarked on
the many differences! A few grandparents were brave enough to tell
their stories of what they were like as first graders!
