Language
We are also continuing our pen pal letters. We are recycling plastic
bottles with Mrs. Denson’s second graders! Send all the plastic you
can so we can keep it out of landfills!
We are beginning demonstration speeches. We made edible play doh for
my demonstration speech “example”. I can’t wait to see what topics
everyone chooses! We will choose topics this week! We will wait to
do our speeches after spring break, probably the week of May 7th. I
will let you know.
Math
We will be working on integers (positive and negative numbers) after
spring break. After that, we will learn how to solve equations using
hands-on manipulatives!
Practice multiplication tables. Don’t forget them!
Social Studies
Students will be learning about Helen Keller and Ivy Greene. We will
complete a web quest on the topic and watch “Miracle Worker” before
we go on our field trip!
