Students and faculty,

First of all, I would like to thank all of you for a wonderful start to the 2011-2012 school year. I cannot believe how old some of you are becoming and how much you have grown, especially the faculty. The start of this school year was full of change and adversity. One of the biggest changes was going from a seven period schedule to an eight period schedule. It took a great deal of planning and sacrifice from our teachers to pull this off. I am very appreciative of the great attitude that everyone has shown through teacher cut-backs and the extra work we have all had to do. All of the students seem to really enjoy our new cell phone policy and the opening of the school store. I hope all understand that the new cell phone policy is only a pilot and can be taken away if students start abusing this privilege. In closing, I would like to again thank all of you for a great start to this year and to encourage you to continue to work hard to excel academically as well as athletically. I really appreciate the opportunity to be the principal at Addison High School and work with such a great staff and student body.
