What's Right With Our School:
Addison High School has a tradition of excellence, and the
students, the faculty, the staff, and the community work hard to
maintain the standard of excellence. Throughout the year, our
school has achieved many goals and received many honors. From
the classroom to the athletic arena to other extracurricular
activities, our individuals are working to meet the challenges
with which they are faced and reach the goals which they set.
In the upper grades, testing is always important. On the Alabama
High School Graduation Exam, 93% of the students passed; and on
the ACT, the school average is a 21. The scores on the SAT are
also impressive. In 2011, our graduating class earned over
$300,000 in scholarships, had a Bryant-Jordan Scholar athlete
state winner, and the 1A Wendy’s Heisman state winner.
