Why?
The General Educational Development (GED Tests) is accepted as a substitute for a high school diploma by many employers, apprenticeship programs, community colleges, and universities.
Adult education provides people with the tools they need to make dramatic life changes – a better job or a chance at a college degree.
Goal
To become literate and obtain the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and self-sufficiency.
To obtain the educational skills necessary to become full partners in the educational development of their children.
To complete secondary school or complete the equivalent of a secondary school education.

| The
instruction provided in GED and PreGED classes is designed
to address the learning needs of people with a wide range of
skills and abilities. The program includes activities and
lessons in the five GED subject areas: writing skills,
social studies, science, literature & arts and
mathematics. When a student enters the program, standardized
assessments in reading, writing and math are administered
and the student's lesson path is determined. Individual
assignments are made based on the results of these
assessments. Students maintain their own progress reports to
help the student determine when they are ready to take the
GED exam. |

About the GED
The GED test covers five subject areas: Writing, Reading, Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics. Our course of study and materials are designed specifically to prepare you to pass the exam and get your high school equivalency diploma.
Notes
All classes and materials are free
You must be sixteen or older and withdrawn from school to enroll in GED classes.
