Approved revision to school policy JFEC/IHCA – Criteria for Valedictorian and Salutatorian and policy GBAA/DJC – Certified Personnel Contracts

 

The Board approved personnel items as follows

 

Employed or transferred:

§         Heather Tucker – transfer from Elementary Teacher at Double Springs Middle School to Shared Librarian, County-Wide

§         June Bentley – Transfer from full-time gifted teacher at Addison and Meek to 50% Guidance Counselor and 50% Gifted Teacher at Addison Elementary

§         Judi Wilson   – Transfer from Elementary Teacher at Addison Elementary to English Teacher, Addison High School

§         Ronala D. Cooper – transfer from Aide to Elementary Teacher at Double Springs Elementary.

§         Barbara Cutcher – transfer from full-time teacher at Winston County Technical Center to part-time at Winston County High School and part-time at Winston County Technical Center.

§         Bobby Shannon Daniel – transfer from teacher at Winston County High School and Winston County Technical Center to Physical Education Teacher at Double Springs Elementary.

§         Vickie Lauderdale – Part-time Math Teacher at Winston County Technical Center

§         Susan Frost – transfer from Special Needs Bus Aide/Sub Driver to Regular Bus Driver at Double Springs effective September 1, 2005

§         Brita McGee – transfer from Special Needs Bus Aide/Sub Driver to County-Wide Special Needs Bus Driver

§         Annette Cagle – Special Needs Bus Aide/Substitute Driver (employment based on meeting  qualifications)

Approved Salary Schedules and Supplements for all personnel for the 2005-2006 school year with the State Salary Increases effective October 1, 2005.

 

The Board accepted bids for Child Nutrition as follows:   Milk from Barber Dairy; Bread from Flowers Baking Company: Ice Cream from Blue Bell Creameries.  Bid was accepted for copy paper for Central Office and all Schools from Paper & Chemical Supply.

 

The next Board Meeting/Second Public Budget Hearing was set for August 1, 2005 at 8:00 pm.
