Double Springs Elementary has a "CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PLAN" for
our school. This plan was developed by teachers, staff and parents.
The plan is stored in Mr. Daniels' office and the library. The
counselor has the "working copy" that may also be viewed by parents
and interested community members.

Parents can call 489-2190 anytime to talk with me or to set up an
appointment. I'll also be glad to meet with parents before or after
school.
What does a counselor do?
•help students cope with emotional crisis
•help to facilitate better peer relationships
•encourage students to recognize and make the best use of their
abilities
•to help students overcome learning difficulty
•to assist parents & teachers in helping students to prevent major
problems before they occur
•promote positive attitudes and choices
•coordinate referrals to outside agencies
•assists with meetings with parents concerning special education
testing
