On January 9th Miss Alabama, Melinda Toole visited our Middle School girls. She talked to the girls about her platform, Character Education. She graduated from Samford University in Birmingham last year with a degree in Elementary Education. She is 23 years old. It was really an honor  for someone like that to visit DSMS. She will be competing in Miss America on Jan. 29th on CMT or VH1.
