BBSST
Building-Based Student Support Team (BBSST)
Double Springs Middle School has a Building-Based Student Support Team. Students
are considered for BBSST if they are failing or at risk of failing regular
classes or at risk of dropping out of school because of behavior. This team
discusses issues related to specific needs of teachers and students and offers
teachers assistance in resolving problems. Teachers receive support when
confronting specific academic, social, and/or behavioral concerns regarding
students. The team is composed of regular education teachers, special education
teacher, administrators, counselor, and other individuals as needed.
