2008-2009 Teacher of the Year


Congratulations to Mrs. Stacey Baker for being selected as the Double Springs Middle School “Teacher of the Year” for 2008-2009. Stacey is married to sixth grade history teacher and Varsity Basketball coach, Mr. John Baker. She is a Winston County High School graduate and received her teaching degree from the University of North Alabama. In the fall of 2006 Stacey began her teaching career at the middle school. She has had an exceptional three years.

Stacey realizes the value of preparation and knowledge of the content to be taught, and these values highlight her teaching. She maintains excellent rapport with her students, provides positive verbal feedback, and offers individual assistance on an ongoing basis. In addition to her classroom responsibilities, Stacey takes on extra duties when ask. She is currently serving on many school committees as well as serving as our Jr. High Cheerleader sponsor. Stacey Baker is a valuable asset to the sixth grade, the English department and to our school! Thanks for a job well done and congratulations on this honor!
