Blue Cross/Blue Shield Grant

Lynn Elementary Third Graders are the recipients of a Blue Cross Blue Shield $1500.00 classroom grant. The third graders and their teachers participated in a healthy unit project as part of the grant requirement. Third graders did a unit on healthy living which included a handwashing lesson and the creation of a step by step healthy handwashing booklet. The pictures of the project are posted on the school's website. Mrs. Nikki Bell-Johnson of Blue Cross Blue Shield presented the students with their certificates and the teachers - Mrs. Baughn and Mrs. Baker with the $1500.00 check. The check will be used to support the third grade reading program at Lynn Elementary. Not pictured is Mrs. Magen Alsup, reading coach. Mrs. Alsup supported the grant activity and served as the contact person and school coordinator.
