Buster the Bus

Buster the Bus was a big hit at Lynn Elementary! Students in K-6 learned about bus safety. Buster reviewed the ten foot danger zone around the bus, how to enter and exit the bus safely and how to ride safely. He also reminded us to get up in plenty of time to be at the bus stop 5 minutes early, stay out of the road, look both ways before crossing the street, and never take our pets to the bus stop. Buster told us that we should always wait until our bus driver gives us the signal to enter the bus. The driver will make sure things are safe before we start to the bus.

Buster made sure he had some fun too. Buster played some tricks on Mrs. Ritter, and he had all the teachers dancing to "The Twist," "The Hokey-Pokey," "The Bunny Hop," "The Chicken Dance," and finally "The YMCA." Most people were wondering what kind of party was happening in our mini gym!

Bus drivers, Mrs. Janet and Mrs. Sophia were also present for the program. Mrs. Sophia even got a little "shot of water" in the face as Buster played his last joke of the day!
