Veterans' Day Celebration (2)
Mrs. Boteler and the 5th and 6th grade social studies class presented a Veteran's Day program that honored several of our community veterans. We were so proud to have so many servicemen at our presentation. We were truly honored with their presence and sincerely appreciative to them for their service to our great country. Thank you Veterans!

Arlie Waldrop shows his Purple Heart. He is a
World War II veteran. He is an active and
articulate 85 year old who loved telling his
stories and showing his war things to students.
Mr. Waldrop drove himself to the school.

Miranda enjoyed looking at the memorabilia.

Mr. Waldrop says he left a wife and young
daughter at home when he was called as an 18
year old to serve in World War II.
