Mrs. Katrina Boteler and her husband, Joey. Mrs. Boteler was awarded Teacher of the Year by the VFW for her part in teaching and promoting patriotism and American Pride in her social studies students. Mrs. Boteler was nominated for this award by members of the Lynn Elementary staff. Several letters of support were written in her honor.
Mrs. Boteler is Kelsea's 6th grade social studies teacher.
VFW Contest Winners
Kelsea with her grandmother (left) Dianne Ashley and her mother (right) Shannon Dickinson. Kelsea won the essay contest. She wrote about patriotism and American Pride. The VFW awarded her with a certificate and $25!
Mrs. Katrina Boteler, Mr. Marlon Guthrie, and Kelsea. Mr. Guthrie is a member of the VFW and a veteran of Vietnam. He brought us the VFW contest information and encouraged us to enter.
