Lynn Elementary School Principal, Sara Ritter and Winston County Cruiser's member, Shelly Sealy.
Ms. Sealy presented Ms. Ritter with a check in the amount of $5,500.00 for Lynn Elementary School. This check is part of the proceeds that came from the Winston County Cruiser's Car Show and Festival that was held at Lynn Elementary School on March 19. This coordinated effort between the Cruisers, Lynn Volunteer Fire Department and Lynn Elementary School resulted in funds being raised to help the fire department and the school.
"It was GREAT to see our community come together to support two such vital organizations. With the total lack of educational funding and continued economic crisis, the funds from this event will go toward providing essential materials and supplies for next school year. After two years of pro-ration and going into a third, we needed the support of this event. I have special thanks to offer to all those teachers, staff, students, parents, and community members who made all of this possible. I hope this event will be bigger and better next year, and I believe it will because Lynn is a special place." Sara Ritter
