We wrote pig facts on these pigs. Then, we colored them.

Pigs are omnivores (just like people) and can eat plants or animals.


Pigs have no sweat glands, so they can't sweat.


An adult pig has 44 teeth.


Some pigs have straight and some have curly tails.


A pig can run a 7 minute mile.


Pigs have four toes on each hoof,
but they only walk on two toes per foot.


Pigs can scream loud.


Pigs are very intelligent and learn quickly.


Pigs use their grunts to communicate with each other.


A pig's diet consists of corn, potatoes, grain, etc.

A female pig is called a gilt if she hasn't had piglets
yet and a sow if she has.


Pigs are found on almost every continent except Antarctica.


Pigs can live to be 9-15 years old.


A baby pig is called a piglet.


Pigs live on a farm or in the wild.


They roll around in the mud to cool their skin. 
The layer of the dried mud protects their skin from the sun.


A sow can give birth to a litter containing 7 to 12
piglets about twice a year.

 


A male is called a boar.


A whole group of pigs is called a herd.
