Giraffes
We wrote stories about how we think giraffes got long necks.
Then, we drew pictures of our stories. We really worked hard
on these stories. We typed them out. That took a while because Ms.
Fulgum taught us how to spell check, correct sentence fragments, put
the title in quotation marks, and save the file to the computer.

Once upon a time a giraffe was walking for a long time. Then he heard
a big roar and he got scared. Then he ran. The lion chased him. He
got so scared his neck stretched so far and he scared the lion away.

friends. They have been friends for a long, long time. They had so
much fun together. One day opossum decided that he wanted to
