Grading Procedures:
Grading is done on a point-based
system. A student’s average is
determined by adding up the points earned by the student, dividing that answer
by the total number of possible points, and then multiplying by 100.

Class
Procedures:
1.
Assignments will be given on a daily basis
and checked regularly. All students
are expected to arrive at class with assignments completed everyday.
Students must be sure to correct any missed problems on all assignments.
The problems can be corrected by requesting that a missed problem be
worked while we are reviewing these assignments in class.
2.
In the event of absences, it is that
student’s responsibility to find out what assignments have been missed and to
complete and turn in this work no later than 3 school days following the
absence. If the student knows
in advance that he/she is going to be absent for any reason, he/she should
request any assignments in advance of that absence.
3.
All classwork and homework assignments,
activities, review work and notes should be kept and clearly labeled in a 3-ring
binder. All test will be keep
on file by the teacher.
4.
Progress reports will be sent home after
the third and sixth weeks of each 9-week grading period.
These reports must be signed by a parent or guardian and returned.

Before
and After School Assistance:
Any student who is struggling
with a particular topic is encouraged to come see me before or after school for
extra help. I am usually available
on most days. Please let me know in
advance if you plan to come.
I encourage you to stay on top of the things that we
are learning. It will be difficult
to catch up if you get behind because topics build on one another.
You MUST keep up and do your homework.
MATH IS
NOT A SPECTATOR
SPORT!!! You must be an
active participant to succeed.

Because I have a severe
allergy to perfume and scented lotions, all students are asked to refrain from
wearing these kinds of products in this room.
If a student is wearing a product to which I have a reaction, I will ask
that student not to wear that product again.
If this occurs a second time, I will have to ask the student to leave the
room.

My child and I have read,
understand, and agree to uphold the above classroom standard.
I understand that any questions and/or concerns that I have may be
addressed by contacting Mrs. Watkins at Winston County High School.
