Classroom Rules:
1. Be on time with all necessary materials.
2. Stay in your assigned seat unless you have permission to do otherwise.
3. All classroom discussion will be conducted in an orderly manner.
4. Keep your hands, feet, hurtful comments, and all other objects to
yourself.
5. Food, drink, and /or gum is not permitted in the classroom.
6. Respect the ideas, property, and rights of others.
Grading:
1. Students will be given a grade sheet to keep up with their grades; they
are to keep it in their notebooks.
2. Tests will count 50% of your nine weeks grade.
3. Daily class work and homework will 25% of your nine weeks grade.
4. Quizzes will count 25% of your nine weeks grade.
5. To figure your average, average test, quizzes, and homework all separate.
Take the test grade two (2) times, homework and quiz averages one (1) time
and add the four (4) grades together and divide by four (4).
Policy for Late Homework:
Homework will be accepted only one day after the due date, if for some
reason you accidentally leave it at home. Homework will not be accepted late
if you did not do the homework. Twenty points will be deducted if the work
is late from your grade on that assignment for any work that is late one day
if accidentally left at home.
Absence:
1. Contact me within two days after an excused absence to arrange for
make-up work.
2. Tests must be made up within one week after an excused absence or
recorded as a zero.
3. Any grades taken on the day of an unexcused absence will be recorded as
zeros.
4. Daily work make-ups depend on what the class is doing upon your return.
Classroom Policies:
1. Any time cheating is observed, zeros will be given to all students
involved! (This includes loaning and/or copying homework, class work, tests,
etc.)
2. Work from other classes will be taken up if visible during my class.
3. Pop quizzes may occur at any time to check on your progress.
4. All Winston County School Board Policies outlined in the student handbook
must be followed.
Additional Information:
1. In the event that you should need to speak with me, you may contact me
before or after school or during my planning period.
2. You are responsible for the cost of a damaged or missing textbook! Please
handle it with care.
3. You are responsible for the cost of a damaged or missing library book!
