Bevill State Summer Honors Scholarship applications are now available at www.bscc.edu. Finishing 10-12 graders may apply. If awarded, the scholarship covers the cost of two classes to be taken during summer term 2018.

Wallace State Community College is offering finishing sophomores and juniors summer scholarships in career tech. programs during the summer term 2018. Students may earn 6 hours of college credit. This scholarship will pay for tuition, fees, and books. For an application, please see Mrs. Jordan.

J. Craig and Page T. Smith Scholarship-Smith Foundation scholarships are designed to help young Alabamians obtain a higher education and fulfill their personal goals to become leaders and give back to their communities. Qualifications include: 1) must be a graduating Alabama high school senior; 2) must have a minimum of a C+ grade point average; 3) planning to attend an approved 4-year public college in the State of Alabama-nursing majors may attend an accredited two year institution; and 4) significant contribution to family or community. There is no ACT minimum, however, the applicant must have taken the ACT or do so before an award can be made. Approximately 15 scholarships will be awarded in April. Three Meek High School students have been awarded this very prestigious scholarship since 2007. Applications are closed for the 2017-18 school year. See Mrs. Jordan if you plan to apply.

College Counts Scholarship-Applicants must be a high school senior, Alabama resident, demonstrate financial need, minimum GPA of 2.75, and have an ACT score of 26 or below. Applicants attending a two-year school will not be required to submit ACT scores. Award amounts are $4,000 for four-year college enrollees and $2,000 for two-year college enrollees. Better Business Bureau Scholarship-Juniors and Seniors from Colbert, Cullman, DeKalb, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Morgan and Winston counties are eligible to submit applications for this scholarship. Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded.
