Anaphylaxis is a life-threatening type of allergic reaction. Anaphylaxis can occur in response to any allergen. Common causes include drug allergies, food allergies, and insect bites/stings
3) EpiPen
An Epinephrine autoinjector is a medical device used to deliver a measured dose (or doses) of epinephrine (also known as adrenaline) using auto injector technology, most frequently for the treatment of anaphylaxis. No one plans to have an allergic reaction!

4) Food Allergies
It is extremely important for people who have true food allergies to identify them and prevent allergic reactions to food because these reactions can cause devastating illness and, in some cases, be fatal.
5) AED Information
The Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses the life threatening cardiac arrhythmias of ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia in a patient,[1] and is able to treat them through defibrillation, the application of electrical therapy which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm.

7) PPEL - Act# 2028-460, Alex Hoover Act is relating to terminally ill students participating in school activities.
8) Adrenal Insufficiency - Alabama Act No. 2023-75 - Amended the Alabama Safe at Schools Act, requires the State Board of Education, in consultation with the Alabama Board of Nursing to develop guidelines for training school employees in the necessary care for students with medical needs related to an adrenal insufficiency according to the student's IHP.
Adrenal Insufficiency is a hormonal disorder that occurs when the adrenal glands do not produce enough hormones Adrenal insufficiency is a chronic condition requiring the student to take daily medications.
9) Backpack Law - Law requiring staff to educate students on the use of heavy backpacks.
10) Sunscreen Law - Staff are not permitted to apply sunscreen on a student without a Parent Authorization Form being completed.
11) Certificate of Completion
